About
Bedroom Organization is an informational resource about organizing the bedroom as a room. The guides explain how to plan the room in storage zones, how to arrange a dresser so the drawers stay tidy, what to keep beside the bed, how to measure for storage under the bed, how to make a small or shared bedroom work, and how to keep the result in order with short routines.
The site is about where things go and how to keep them there. It starts from the room you already have and the furniture already in it, and it treats buying something new as the last step, not the first.
What the site covers
- Bedroom Organization Basics: a step-by-step plan for the whole room, storage zones, common mistakes, and the daily and weekly routines that keep a bedroom organized.
- Bedroom Storage Ideas: storage for every part of the room, open shelves, bed linens, and accessories such as jewelry, belts, bags and scarves.
- Clothes Storage: arranging dresser drawers, folding clothes so they can be seen, storing clothes outside the closet, and rotating them with the seasons.
- Bedside Organization: nightstands and their drawers, cords and chargers, and what to do when there is no room for a nightstand.
- Under-Bed Storage: how to measure the space, what belongs under the bed and what does not, and how to keep it clean and easy to reach.
- Small Bedroom Organization: tight rooms, vertical storage, awkward corners, and dividing a shared bedroom fairly.
- Bedroom Decluttering: deciding what stays in the room, sorting clothes, and fixing the spots where piles keep forming.
- Bedroom Organization Projects: a weekend plan for the whole room and simple drawer dividers you can make yourself.
If you are not sure where to begin, start with How to Organize a Bedroom, then read Bedroom Storage Zones, Bedroom Storage Ideas and Dresser Organization. Every guide is listed on the Tutorials page.
How the guides are written
- Original text and original illustrations. Every guide is written for this site, and the images are original illustrations of general ideas. They are not photographs of real rooms and they do not show particular products.
- Measured to your room. Bed frames, drawers, alcoves and floor plans differ from one home to the next, so the guides show you what to measure and how to decide, and do not hand out universal numbers. Where a size or a count appears, it is an example or a starting point.
- Safety notes where they matter. Where a guide involves tall furniture, wall fixings or cords, it says so plainly: tall furniture can tip and should be anchored as its manufacturer instructs, anything fixed to a wall must suit the wall and the weight it carries, and cords and chargers belong where they cannot be tripped over, pinched or covered.
- No sponsored product picks and no brands. Storage products are described by type, such as a shallow lidded box or a drawer divider. The guides do not name or recommend brands, and nothing on the site is a paid placement.
What this site is not
Bedroom Organization is general information for people organizing their own bedroom. It is not a professional organizing or design service, and it claims no professional credentials of any kind. It cannot see your room, so it cannot tell you what a wall, a floor or a piece of furniture in your home can safely carry; for that, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and ask a qualified professional.
Two neighboring subjects are outside the scope of the site: closet interiors and closet systems, and decorating or styling a bedroom. The guides mention a closet only as one of the places where things are kept.
The site also makes no promises about sleep, stress or health. It is about where to put things.
What you can rely on
- We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, statistics or testimonials.
- No guide promises a particular result, because the result depends on the room, the furniture and the people who use them.
- Where a shelf, a hook or another wall fixing comes up, the guide points you to the manufacturer’s load rating and instructions and states no weight limits of its own.
